Moscari is located in the centre of Mallorca, between the towns of Selva and Campanet. Moscari is a small, sleepy village with just about 260 inhabitants and is authentically Mallorquin. Behind the town is the dramatic and stunning Tramuntana mountains said to be the ‘backbone’ of Mallorca. In the village, there is a small church, a hotel, two bars, tobacconist, bookshop and a grocery store. For people who are looking for peace Moscari is an ideal vacation spot.
Selva is the largest of this group of villages and the impressive Gothic church which stands tall in the centre of town dates back to 13th Century and is dedicated to the towns Paton Saint, Sant Llorenç (Saint Lawrence). The church underwent reforms in 1301 to make the temple stronger and larger, a work that took until the 16th Century to complete. According to some sources the tallest part of the church in Selva reaches the same altitude as the square in Lluc.
