Here's our delightful selection of townhouses available to rent in Pollença Old town and walking distance to the centre. Pollensa rests on the foothills at the eastern end of the Sierra de Tramuntana. This charming town is a haven of sleepy Majorcan traditions, where café life and the siesta roll on as if package holiday-makers had never been created. Pollensa has put on the map by the Romans, and a Roman Bridge "Pont Romà" still spans the Torrent de Sant Jordi spring to the north of the town. Following the Spanish conquest of 1229, Pollensa came under the control of the legendary Knights Templar, who initiated construction work on the parish church, Nostra Senyora dels Angels.  Pollensa's lively market takes place every Sunday mornings: clothes and household goods are sold near the car park, with flowers, fruit, and vegetables in the plaça Major square. Local cheeses, olives, and roasted almonds are always good buys.
